The same fight. The same distance. The same exhaustion.
Maybe it's the argument you could both recite from memory. Maybe it's the quiet that settled in after the kids were born. Maybe it's the moment you heard yourself yell at your child the way you swore you never would.
These patterns aren't a sign that something is wrong with you. They're how people protect themselves when connection feels unsafe. And they can change.
Does any of this sound familiar?
- You keep having the same conflict and never actually resolve it.
- One of you pushes to talk while the other shuts down or pulls away.
- Trust has been broken, through an affair, secrets, or promises that kept slipping.
- Parenting feels like reacting instead of responding, and you don't like who you are in those moments.
- A big change (a new baby, a move, a blended family, a loss) has knocked everyone off balance.
- You feel more like roommates or co-managers than partners.
How I help
I use an attachment-focused approach, which means we look underneath the surface behavior to the needs driving it: feeling safe, feeling chosen, feeling heard.
Because I'm trauma-informed, we go at a pace that feels manageable, and we pay attention to how your nervous system responds under stress, not just what you say. The goal isn't to stop every argument. It's to help you feel secure enough with each other to repair when things go wrong.
